Competition to save the world.

Competition brings out the best.

In the early 1900s world’s gross population was around 1.6 billion (1.6×109) , and at the end of the century it reached 6 billion (6×109), i.e. about 3.75 time the population in early 1900s. The figure 3.75 doesn’t seem that big but we must take into consideration that it took around 5900 years (age of civilization is taken about 6000 yrs.) for human race to reach a population of 160 crore and in just another hundred year they were able to another  440 crore, well it is not the problem the problem lies in the need for those 600 crore.

As those 600 crore were all human, they all had the same requirement. In the beginning it was not thought as a problem, as everyone was getting enough resources, as nature’s storage was till then able to meet the requirement. All was well, till the time nature’s inventory looked like inexhaustible. On further addition of few more crore bring it in notice that what was thought to be unlimited seems to be limited.

With limited resource comes the competition.

Competition has always been nature’s way to choose the best that suits her, in the initial days it was thought that those who posses more resource becomes more fit, increasing the chance of survival

(survival of the fittest). And this cause a major resource partitioning, those who were unable to snatch, fetch and stack resources became underestimated. Creating a partition in human society – the rich and the poor.

Then after it strike that natural selection operates at the population level, and hence resource partitioning is a threat to our continuation. Then there begins schemes and campaigns to distribute the resource. But they were not willing to distribute it all and equally as they had also struggled there to snatch and stack those resources that lead a very less resource reaching the bottom group, that leads the real competition come down to the bottom dwellers, that make them fight for the limited resource.

And competition is not beneficial to any single competent (from ecological point of view). So it brings the threat down to the bottom dwellers.

But, studies says that competent are able to eliminate the threat, the way is-not to participate in the competition. But not participating is something that is like elimination in the existing system.

There was a need to include something more to the system which doesn’t alter the system (as the system came to acting only after a long approved journey). It was only possible by discovering new niches, that’s where the most powerful weapon-creativity is employed.

Now the threat get narrowed to those who are not creative. Letting them to compete for those really very less resource that reach them.

In this whole course, the competition comes down and down from the population to a small community.

But still the threat is not gone as nature doesn’t have enough for all.

So the optimization the bottom dwellers had adopted was to be promoted to all in order to have more with less resource, it is where those creative bottom dwellers are raised, and cites an example of the selection of the best or survival of the fittest.

Hence, IT  IS ABSOLUTELY NEEDED TO BE CREATIVE. Just because nature select the best out of us to survive that leads toward a better tomorrow.
