What make us different?

What if a random guy ask you what is the difference that makes us(human) different from others(both livings and non-livings), generally the person to whom it was asked would just stammer, think and in his/her mind begin to enlist a lot of characteristics and analyze and cross-check the list, validating some and eliminating some.

Obviously, it’s not that easy and is not something that can be answered directly. Then what’s the definitive character of a human being.

Its not something about manipulation of nature or its ability to use it efficiently as other species also manipulate nature for their use , like beavers, who do build dams, obviously not for generating electricity. Yah they(beavers) don’t use electricity but there are species(electric eel like species) which use it as a deadly weapon much before humans appeared on earth, so its can not be about use of nature to build their empire.

It could have been self consciousness but primates and even dolphins, elephants and other mammals and some other species too show these property.  Apes too care about their looks. Emotions can not also be taken for granted as there are available evidence that they too care for their loved ones, they too get hurt.

Although its something about our brain but, its also not the brain capacity which make us superior as sperm whale has the largest brain among all the animals. Neither the brain-size to body-mass ratio as it is highest for dolphins.

Then what make us different, although all species are similar by sharing a common genetic material to varying extent they differ by the way they adapted themselves to their habitat, the way they got specialized, the way they behave, its true even in among the humans themselves.

The most astonishing feature of a man is  their curiosity, their way of observation, the way they think, their ability to analyze and to some extent their greed.

Man is curious, comes from their ability to use fire, when every other animals feared to tried to escape fire, man went closer to see, observed the way it is beautiful, learnt to recreate it. And used it to afraid those who are trying to escape it. 

They observed the surrounding, analyzed their observation to create something that were never been there, if they couldn’t they passed their observation to their next generation so that the upcoming generation can create something that they never could, that is merely scene in biosphere. 

The way human being thinks is not seen in any other organism, which make its brain the most complicated thing on the universe till known. Its enormous ability to think gave them the power to convert a simple wood log into wheel, which turned the group of human into civilization, which is not the case for any other animal group.

Their ability to create is proved by paintings, artefacts, sculptures, structures that they build, other species also have the ability to create but not to the extent human have, it is better to be called as a result of its curiosity, observation, analysis and efforts to mimicry all those fascinating things they have seen.

 All these curiosity, observation, analysis, memory, record  urged for the development of a communication system superior to that of any other living being use. Their ability to communicate with each other make them immensely strong to be invaded by any other living species on this planet. Although today's communication system includes something that we didn't  inherited but is something that is result of all those characteristics that makes us different and the need to express them for something more by upgrading our existing system of communication immensely, where other species failed.

AND ALL THESE THINGS MAKE US DIFFERENT.
