Will we prevail?

An emerging question in this very first decades of twenty first century is how long are we going to prevail?

Well, no one can predict what future brings for us. We don’t even know whether this question is valid or not, but looking at the activities we perform we are getting sure that our activities are pretty harmful for the place where all of us live, all living being including human itself, and those activities are potent to eradicate us from this planet.

We had to remember that who raised us is much more powerful than we are. Form the human context it is the nature who raised the man by letting man exploit her to fulfill their needs, after needs comes the greed which is insatiable. The man caused a heavy deterioration of nature trying to satisfy the insatiable greed in the name of development which is fake(most of the time). Does development hold its value even if it causes health and social hazards, widen the gap between rich and poor, decrease the life expectancy and cause harm to someone else(be it a human or other species). All the mentioned feature of what we say development bringing a question mark on the validity of civilization, irrespective of rich and poor societies.

And man these days are getting aware of these things, some are trying to fix this problem, defining development, awaking earthlings about the havocs they caused, its prevention so that it shouldn’t get further bad, even youngsters are performing this job. And there is another category which is just trying to escape, colonize some other planet, watch the destruction of their native planet like a movie scene from some other planet and after all these will search for another such planet to colonize and repeat the same there.

Well, the story wouldn’t be that horrific (at least we can hope for that). As once in an interview famous American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson quoted that-“the day we have the power to terraform mars to turn mars into earth, we will have the power to transform earth back into earth.” and that’s what bring us hope to continue our own species here on earth and live here with a complete harmony with others(species).

Those giant dinosaurs ruled earth for about 175 million years and here we are there on the scene just for about some 2.5 million years, and you are still thinking that greedy man will just leave the throne and all the treasure to save themselves not even trying to fight the battle, that’s something impossible type. There is atleast no harm of eradication of the civilization as man possess immense problem solving ability and also he have to take care of the time so that it doesn’t get too late. Some catastrophe in coming days can cause the nightmare come true as happened to those giant dinosaurs(as argued).

Yes, if we don’t find some immediate solution to the havocs we have caused, it will be too late to fix those problems and that day will cost the civilization. But it’s important to be hopeful for the future that’s waiting, and to be aware of what we do so that the present can never ever repeat itself.
