Predicting Universe
The universe is not that much chaotic as one thinks by just seeing on it. Yes, it sounds insane as in general something such big can’t be arranged in an orderly manner, but it is. Yes, it is not created or made by someone else, but was created upon itself by itself. Like just appearing out of nothing, as are shown in sci-fi movies.
Something which is coming out of itself without monitoring of something or someone is likely to possess some disorderness. But, in case of the universe it is not such, with respect to its size it is much more regular or predictable.
And this predictability faced great opposition as this predictability possesses a great threat to the presence of god. As, this time universe itself decides its fate.
You may wonder reading the above words and may think of how
this guy is saying it. Yes, there is a concrete history of predictability,
which makes secular/nonreligious/agnostic/atheist
community the third in Adherent
list of 2020 (source: Wikipedia).
And those work of predictions are performed by some fairly
derived equations that human discovered and discovering out of his observations
since a long effort of centuries.
Every equation that is able to predict the future has their glorious
past. They predicted the future well and shaped today.
Today we can determine the fairly unpredictable weather which
you see every on your smartphone homescreen. We can determine the variation in
a rabbit population to a close approximation. We can predict the exact path of a
supermassive star. We can predict the amount of energy we can still obtain from
sun, we can predict the remaining lifespan of our own sun. That is in this day
we can predict something from fluctuating rabbit population to flow of fluid to
path of supermassive star to the age of that star and many more, which seems
like A-Z. But, there are more works to be done on predicting equations making
them more accurate and discovering new ones as there are many natural things
that are still unpredictable.
One may simply ask, what role these predictions do play in our
life. Yes, the question is legit. These predictions firstly do satisfy some of
our curiosity of knowing the tomorrow, at least tomorrow’s weather. It’s role
may end with the above reason for you, but think of a farmer who depends on
weather for the yield, or a fisherman who without knowing the upcoming storm
may get into it and loose his life. A businessman can suffer a great loss or
loss of a great profit if he is not able to predict the market on the basis of
today’s demand and supply.
Astronomers discovered Neptune in one night
in less than an hour as they knew where to look at the sky, and it was clearly
a work of prediction where the predicted the path of Neptune while wandering
for the irregularity in Uranus’s orbit and that worked. Such great things
happen when we can have a great ability to predict the universe.
Those who discover relations between natural phenomenon to deduce equations that fairly predict the universe know how significant that work is and that's the thing evident from the words of Albert Einstein as
“One must divide one's time between politics and equations. But our equations are much more important to me, because politics is for the present, while our equations are for eternity.”
