Birthplace of God. | The Revolution that Resulted into God
Where was God born ?
These days this is not even a question anymore. Because, you know it, and if not you can for surely google it to get the information you want. You will always get it as a real world location, i.e. Bethlehem or Jerusalem, Lumbini, Mathura, Ayodhya or any other places where god is known to have been born.
The simple answer is because of what they did. They were the creators and philosopher people of their time. They devised some systems that helped the society to come together and grow at their time. In short, they added values and morality to society.
But, why god? They could have been called by some other name or title.
The reason is hidden in the word itself. The word actually means the creator of the universe. And this thing implies that there were questions about the beginning of the universe or more simply where did we come from. In ancient times, finding no clue they created their own answer “the god” - a person or something that got the power to create and hence the power to destroy all the beings they see around them. And it was the fear of destruction or apocalypse that strengthened the position of god in a society.
But, the definition changed over time. In the middle ages the god was one who possessed the power, or at least pretended to possess that power to protect and destroy the civilians. They were kings. The kings of the middle ages announced themselves the king or direct descendent of the king. This is true for many big civilizations like the Egyptian civilization and Mesopotamia civilization and some others.
After the invention of agriculture and fresh liberation from the food crisis,
the human population was growing faster than ever. The growth was so high that all of them were not needed in the fields to grow crops. This thing led to a revolution in thought process. Those who weren’t assigned in crop fields or pastures engaged their mind in resolving the deepest mysteries of events happening all around them. They engaged their minds to define how plants grow, how a fire starts and all other staff that led us to what we are today. This thought revolution triggered us to question our origin. source: pinterest
All those unanswered questions and phenomena naturally ended up at some supernatural cause, and it was the time when god was born. God was the simplest answer to some unanswerable questions and phenomena that they found around. And those questions remained unanswered for a long time, that time was enough for God to thrive.
Have you ever thought about why gods look like humans only in most cases? That is probably because God is the result of intensive thought processes of the human mind. Man thought him to be superior to other species, so as god. And that’s probably the cause that god got a humanoid or human body.
In actuality, very few people continued that thought revolution that took place in some ancient crop fields. Because, people are lazy and tend to stay okay with the answer even if it is wrong, but that doesn’t mean that nobody will question that wrong. Those very few, began to ask and there are cases where they were suppressed, but not forever.
The above paragraph explains well why the definition of god changed over time from unseen almighty to king to intellectuals and so on. But in actuality god is not a being or entity but an idea and for sure the very first god or better, the concept of god came out of the soil that gave rise to crops from seeds.
God was actually another invention by Agriculture.
