Sighting UFOs : a Logical Approach
There are many people who claim to have seen a UFO, those extraterrestrial vehicles set for intergalactic voyage by some unknown species lurking somewhere in this vast universe. What do you think about these strange vehicles or something else (which seems not to be very earthly)? Do you think those are real? Are those even possible? What does it cost the extraterrestrials to have a look at us? Let’s take a glimpse of those unanswered questions from an alien point of view along with the possible reasons for their visit to we earthlings.
What do you think, what the reasons can be? One may say in favoring the UFO sightings that 1.they are visiting us out of curiosity, the same way we do like sending rovers to other planets. Or, 2. just to see the fruit of life which they once planted on this planet. Or, 3. just to colonize this habitable planet. Or, 4. to save this flourishing planet from the hard impact of man. Yes, these are more or less legit reasons, no one can question these until thought of in a mathematical logical way , as these are based on hollow assumptions, and not on established facts.
Let’s assume that they have some reason. But how will they approach us? Till date, within our observed universe we have observed no life (carbon based). And hence they might be coming from somewhere very far. They might nor even be aware of the presence of life on earth, as light reaching there is way older than the arrival of life on this planet. In a single sentence, they are looking at not our, but of this planet’s barren past. And in this way we can safely eliminate reason number 4, and to some extent reason number 3 as well.
Now, assume that they successfully arrived on this planet in some distant past and planted life on this planet, seeing its position in the goldilock zone (assuming they know this thing maybe, in some different unknown language). In that case, another question arrives, why only earth, whereas there are plenty of planets in this same range scattered all over our own galaxy? And at the same time, why did they leave life alone on this planet?
Now, let’s assume that they ran this “planting life” experiment on all the planets available to them in the goldilock zone but, life didn’t flourished and evolved and in some cases survived well in all of them, and regarding the fact that intelligent life is way more rare, we should have encountered the consequences of life (Carbon-based, as is most probable if distributed from a single source) like atmospheric CO2 conc. And many other considerable factors. Hence, we can successfully eliminate the reason number 2. And keep the glory of being born and evolved on this planet called Earth.
And now here comes the nevertold legend - Economics. If they are reaching us, it is safe to assume that they are way more advanced than we are. In that case they should have an advanced economy than ours’ and will take onto the accounts of loss and profit much more efficiently than we do.
And from an economic point of view, cosmic voyages are way too costly, irrespective of the civilizations and type of civilization. And there are no ways of thinking that an advanced civilization with a highly advanced economy will allow such costly projects toward nowhere (universe is truly vast), risking both resources and life until it’s the last option remaining for survival of their genes.
An economy like ours hasn't even taken the risk of sending life to Mars, yet. And it’s a matter of millions of years at around the speed of light (i.e. millions of lightyears). And hence we can also eliminate the reason number 1 as well.
It left aliens to visit our planet for no reason at all.
Still, there are reports from common people and some time from national intelligence and task force and military organizations like pentagon, which in their intelligence report claims the sightings of UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects), and gathering scientists and researchers from all over the world to conduct a high cost UFO research in a pursuit of explaining all those unidentified aerial phenomena occurring in our lower atmosphere in near future on the basis of hard evidence and technology.
But, still most of the UFO cases are later identified as earthly acts, butr due to evidence in realtime becomes unidentified in news headlines. And the other few cases are generally closed due to lack of evidence. And that was our UFO sightings for you.
